“กองสวัสดิภาพสัตว์และสัตวแพทย์บริการลงพื้นที่ตรวจสวัสดิภาพช้าง ณ อำเภอเกาะช้าง จังหวัดตราด อำเภอเมืองระยอง จังหวัดระยอง อำเภอห้วยใหญ่ และอำเภอบางละมุง จังหวัดชลบุรี”

 เมื่อวันพุธที่ 15 มีนาคม 2566 กลุ่มคุ้มครองสวัสดิภาพสัตว์ กองสวัสดิภาพสัตว์และสัตวแพทย์บริการ ได้เข้าร่วมกับ

สถาบันวิจัยและบริการสุขภาพช้างแห่งชาติ และสำนักงานปศุสัตว์จังหวัดในพื้นที่เข้าตรวจสุขภาพช้าง และ สวัสดิภาพช้าง พร้อมทั้งประชาสัมพันธ์เตรียมความพร้อมสำหรับการรับรองมาตรฐานปางช้าง และสร้างการรับรู้ในหลักเกณฑ์การจัดสวัสดิภาพช้างตามประกาศกระทรวงเกษตรและสหกรณ์ เรื่อง การจัดสวัสดิภาพช้างในปางช้าง พ.ศ.2563 แก่เจ้าของช้างในพื้นที่อำเภอเกาะช้าง จังหวัดตราด รวมถึงในพื้นที่จังหวัดชลบุรี และระยองร่วมด้วย รวมทั้งสิ้น 90 เชือก

การสร้างการรับรู้ในระดับพื้นที่ในเรื่องการจัดสวัสดิภาพช้าง และการขอรับรองมาตรฐานปางช้าง เป็นหัวใจสำคัญในการยกระดับการจัดสวัสดิภาพช้างในประเทศไทยให้เป็นที่ยอมรับในระดับสากลและทำให้ช้างเลี้ยงได้มีคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดีอยู่คู่สังคมไทยต่อไป

Division of Animal Welfare and Veterinary Services  visited Koh Chang District, Trat Province, Mueang Rayong District, Rayong Province, Huay Yai District and Bang Lamung District Chonburi Province to check elephant welfare.

   On Wednesday, March 15-17 , 2023, the Animal Welfare Protection Group , the National Institute of Research and Service for Elephant Health and the Provincial Livestock Office in the area have collaborated to inspect elephant health and elephant welfare as well as communicating with elephant’s owners and mahouts to prepare for the certification of elephant camp standards in the area of ​​Koh Chang District, Trat Province, including in the area of ​​Chonburi Province and Rayong together. Moreover, DLD officers were going to create awareness in the criteria for elephant welfare according to the notification of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives on the elephant welfare in elephant camps 2020. a total of 90 domesticated elephants were checked by veterinarians.

Creating awareness at the local level on elephant welfare and applying for certification of elephant camp standards . It is the key to elevating the welfare of elephants in Thailand to be internationally accepted and enabling captive elephants to have a good quality of life.
